Odds for Sunderland Brighton

Matchday 6 of the 2019-20 Premier League season gets underway on Saturday with Sunderland taking on Brighton at the Stadium of Light. One of the seasons main themes this campaign has been the rise of Brighton and Hove Albion, who have gone from being relegated to now sitting in ninth place in the table. But despite them playing some good football, the market is kind to Sunderland who are priced at 7/2 to win the game at a return of around 10/1. Considering the home side are priced at a mere 7/2 to earn anything from the game and Brighton are priced at 7/1, it is understandable that there's a lack of around 3/1 across the spectrum to see either side scoring. If you fancy Brighton scoring first, they are priced at 6/1 to get the ball in the net first in this fixture with Sunderland being the only team priced lower than them at 6/1. That 9/1 price rise on Brighton to get a goal in the second half stands out to me but it is simply because they have been scoring a lot and Hams are scoring one, two or three goals in the majority of their fixtures. Brighton's 4/1 price rise to win is interesting as well as they have had a good record against the bottom half of the table with home wins against Newcastle, West Ham, Aston Villa and Norwich. Now it's interesting to have a look at their differences in shots for and against. Brighton have had 32.5 shots for this season, the 5th lowest average this season, while averaging 16.5 shots against (5th lowest). Below are the odds Brighton are laying to win a bet on Sunderland against the Asian market. They are the market price on their at time of writing. It's very early in the season and some bookmakers have yet to settle on their prices. An early tip, bet365, is offering both odds in favour of Brighton of 2/1, whereas Pinnacle Sports only see Brighton getting a price of 2/1. The price is likely to become more specific once Asian traders settle on an expected goalline ratio. Brighton's 2.06 goals conceded per game is the best in the league. They are looking more like the team that finished ninth last season as the current odds suggest. Brighton are 2/1 and 4/5 respectively.
